30 Day Art Recharge
"You, Me, Us"
Kickstart your art practice. Rebuild your confidence. Connect with other artists.
What is the 30 Day Art Recharge?
The 30 Day Art Recharge is a global learning opportunity. It all starts November 14. It's about how we see ourselves and the
world through art - our own, and the art of others. Through the theme of “You, Me, Us”, you will have the chance to both learn
and connect with other artists through a real time online art program.
Not only will you be learning from me, you will also get the combined wisdom of some of history’s greatest artists and
some of the 1000+ Skilled Artist community.
This is a chance for you to take your style and subject matter to the
next level.
What's Going To Happen?
The Art Recharge will be uploaded on November 14. There will be 15 painting challenges to be completed over 30 days. You can self-pace the course if you wish, but I would highly recommend that you follow the course in “real time” via the Facebook or Teachable online groups.
Each lesson consists of a short, pre-recorded video on a featured artist from history. You can watch it online in your own time at your convenience. I will analyse a theme in each artist's work, show how I have used it in my own paintings, then set exercises for you to complete over the following 2 days.
There will then be an opportunity for you to share your work in a private Facebook group for further discussion if you wish, and I will also be doing regular online critiques of selected students’ work for us all to learn from.

What Will I Be Studying?
Everything! That is the challenge. The course will cover landscapes, still-life, figurative, portraiture, animals, urban... and more!
There is enough variety for everyone. My aim is to push you out of your comfort zone and encourage you to try something new.
Learn:
• Why did a disgruntled farmer want to chew Grant Wood’s ear off after she saw “American Gothic”?
• How did Monet’s green glasses totally change his colour choices at the end of his career?
• Why did Hokusai dip a chicken’s feet in red paint then allow it to walk across his paper?
• How can you channel some of Frida Kahlo’s symbolism into your own painting?
What Is The Skill Level Required?
Every lesson has exercises for 3 skill levels. They are designed to be fun yet challenging, achievable... and time friendly!
There is a 10 minute exercise, a one hour exercise and an extended activity with every lesson. Choose the one that's right for you! Fit the course around your daily life and the available time you have. Perfect for those who lead busy lives but still want to maintain a daily art practice.
The exercises are designed to grow your confidence and develop your unique style.
And remember... we are all here to grow! There will be no judgment, just mutual encouragement and support.

If you have already completed my "How To Loosen Up Your Painting" course,
this is where you get to meet those on the same journey as you.
I've seen some of the work already being produced by The Skilled Artist community. Believe me, you are not going to want to miss this :)
Do I Have To Complete All The
Exercises In The Recharge?
No way! Everyone works at a different pace. You are under no pressure to complete everything. What you get out of the course is entirely up to you.
You may be the type of person who just likes to watch and learn, and that’s fine! If you miss one of the exercises or one doesn’t appeal to you… no problem. Just wait for the next one!
You get lifetime access to the course material so you can come back and complete the exercises whenever you wish.

Meet Your Teacher
Hi, I’m Richard Claremont. I used to be a full-time postman, struggling to paint in my spare time. I painted little street scenes in an old cigar box while I was out delivering the mail. In the early days (we are talking 90s here… yes… no internet!) it was pretty tough getting your art noticed...
Then something amazing happened. The internet came along. I managed to build a following on Instagram and began selling my work. I appeared on TV as “The Painting Postie”. My art career started to take off… I won a major art prize, exhibited in Paris and have now been a full-time artist for over 3 years!
The reason I am telling you all this is to make the point that achieving your dreams is possible. Whether you want to paint just for the joy of it, or whether you’re ready to take those first small steps to becoming a full-time artist… there are people who can help you. I’m hoping those next steps you take will be with me.
For 30 days we are going to live and breathe art!
